The passion for basketball and the NBA truly propelled me into this journey. I continued to play throughout junior high and high school, albeit with a change in schools. You're aware of the junior high I attended. It was around the seventh and eighth grades when my family relocated to Winnetka, and I transferred to New Trier High School, where I eventually graduated. It was during my time there, while I was still actively playing, that I began to contemplate how I could remain connected to the sport of basketball if my professional aspirations were to fall through. Could I become an agent? Ascend into management? Perhaps write about it? Eventually, I discovered that my passion lay in writing. Although I knew I cherished the sport, I pondered the specifics of what I could do with it. I recall my high school English teacher's suggestion during my sophomore year, "You have a knack for writing; why not join the school newspaper?" From that moment on, I realized that if the playing career was not to be, the path to staying involved in the industry would be to intertwine basketball with writing, thus embarking on this new journey.
